Maryland Heights Fire Rescue Practices Ice Rescues

Maryland Heights Fire Rescue practiced Thursday morning, Feb. 8, 2017, making ice rescues of people who had fallen through the ice in Creve Coeur Lake. They made the rescues as real as possible using dummies and Assistant Chief Steve Rinehart, who not only broke the ice, but also directed the rescue personnel. Rinehart said he's rescued about ten people over his career and never lost anyone to drowning.
