Science is not just for boys

Girls entering the 7th and 8th grade have become research scientists through a training at the Girls-In-Science Research program at Fontbonne University. They have been trained in experimental design and analysis, genetics, animal behavior and parasitology techniques. Professor of biology, Kelly Lane-deGraaf, who is in charge of this program, hopes to make a difference in the lives of these young girls by motivated them in in pursuing a career in science.
